Rich Ward enters his second season as a member of DeWayne Saulsberry's staff, returning to the men's basketball program at LCCC for the first time since serving as Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach from 1988-1991 under Woody Halverson. 

 

Last season, Ward served as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach on Danielle Rinaldo's staff. 

 

Ward comes returns to LCCC following a ten-year stint coaching NBA G-League tryout camps. Rich also spent time as the head basketball coach at The Kinard School in Fort Collins, Colo. from 2013-2015 following a year as an assistant coach at Sierra High School and with the semi-professional Colorado Kings of the American Basketball Association. 

 

Ward spent nine years the Athletic Director and Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Maine at Presque Isle from 1999-2008. While at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, Ward coached the leading rebounder at the NCAA Division III level. Prior to his time at Presque Isle, Ward spent four years as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Maine at Machias from 1995-1999 where he coached the nation's leading scorer in NAIA.
