The Laramie County Community College men's soccer team played to a 1–1 draw against Northwest College on Friday afternoon in Cheyenne. Despite creating nearly 20 shots and dominating possession, the Golden Eagles were forced to settle for a point in Region IX play.
First Half: One Goal Each
The visitors struck first in the 15th minute when Shota Akima whipped in a front-post cross that found Jake Coltart, who finished to give Northwest a 1–0 lead.
LCCC responded before the break. In the 33rd minute, Jamaul Lovelace threaded a ball into Kyonosuke Chikamoto, who slotted home the equalizer to bring the Golden Eagles level at 1–1.
Second Half: Chances Without a Breakthrough
The Golden Eagles controlled much of the second half, outshooting Northwest 19–6 and winning six corner kicks, but they were unable to find a winner.
Forwards David Bojorquez and Darrien Gates II kept the Rangers' defense under pressure, combining for 10 shots, while goalkeeper Joshua Faerber made a key save in the second half to preserve the draw.
