ROCK SPRINGS, WY - Three Golden Eagles scored in double-figures as LCCC (10-7, 4-3) beat Western Wyoming (4-15, 3-8) 62-58 on Wednesday evening at Rushmore Gymnasium. 

Abby Garreaud (Magna, Utah) led all scorers, scoring 19 points while grabbing five rebounds in the win. Garreaud helped the Golden Eagles get off to a quick start, outscoring the Mustangs 36-30 in the first half.

Sam Hester (Saratoga Springs, Utah) finished the night with 14 points and led the team in rebounds with nine.

Western Wyoming came out of the locker room strong in the third quarter, outscoring the Golden Eagles 20-14 before LCCC dug in defensively, holding the Mustangs to just eight fourth-quarter points to seal the victory. 

Lucia Fleta (Tenerife, Spain) scored 11 points and had a game-high three steals. 

The Golden Eagles forced 16 Western Wyoming turnovers and scored 20 points off those turnovers. 

LCCC returns home on Friday, hosting Central Wyoming at 2:00 pm.
