RIVERTON, WY - Abby Garreaud (Magna, Utah) put together a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in a Golden Eagles (11-8, 5-4) 61-59 loss to Central Wyoming (1-15, 1-9) on Saturday afternoon. 

The Golden Eagles and the Rustlers played back-and-forth all afternoon as the Golden Eagles were outscored by just one point in each half. LCCC had a chance to ties the game at the buzzer but a last chance shot rimmed out. 

Ximena Gutierrez (Glenwood Springs, Colo.) provided a spark off the bench, scoring nine points and securing seven rebounds for the Golden Eagles while Kaysen Hobbs (Fort Collins, Colo.) scored nine points her second consecutive start. 

Sam Hester (Saratoga Springs, Utah) scored eight points while Anna Terron (Tarragona, Spain) also scored eight points in the loss. 

LCCC's defense forced 21 Central Wyoming turnovers and had 12 steals in the game.

The Golden Eagles wrap up the regular season on Monday at Eastern Wyoming at 5:30 pm.
