The Laramie County Community College (LCCC) Golden Eagles put up a gritty performance on the road but came up just short against Northeastern Junior College (NJC), falling 61–55 in a competitive Region IX matchup.

LCCC started strong, matching NJC point-for-point in the opening quarter with a 15–15 tie. However, a tough second quarter saw the Golden Eagles score only nine points, allowing NJC to build a 10-point halftime lead. Despite the deficit, LCCC fought back in the second half, outscoring NJC 18–10 in the fourth quarter to close the gap, but the comeback fell just short.

Julia Sanz Bonet led the team with 10 points, knocking down three triples and adding two rebounds. Sabela Carro contributed eight points and six rebounds, showing her versatility on both ends. Nuria Florensa chipped in seven points and three steals, while Selenay Tanik added seven points and five boards.
