TORRINGTON, WY - Kyla Childers (Parker, Colo.) and Rigan McInerney (Gillette, Wyo.) combined for 27 kills as the Golden Eagles (7-8, 2-2) beat Eastern Wyoming (11-8, 4-3) 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles got off to a great start, taking the first set 25-23 before Eastern Wyoming evened up the match with a 25-22 win in the second set. 

Childers finished with a team-high 14 kills in the win. McInerney was close behind ending the match with 13 kills.

LCCC took hold of the match in the third set, winning the set 25-21 before putting away the Lancers with a 25-18 win in the fourth set. 

Francesca Rossi (Rome, Italy) had nine kills and six blocks. Emma Bonney (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) ended the day with four aces and 14 digs.

The Golden Eagles return home on Friday, hosting Central Wyoming at 7:00 pm.
