CASPER, WY - Shelby Veenstra (Twin Falls, Idaho) tallied 22 assists in three sets as the Golden Eagles season came to an end with a 3-0 loss to Central Wyoming on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles came out strong taking an early lead in the first set before Central went on a run and won the first set 25-15.

Rigan McInerney (Gillette, Wyo.) recorded eight kills in the match while Paige Blevins (Cheyenne, Wyo.) also recorded eight kills.

Central Wyoming went on to win the second set 25-20 before taking the third set 25-14.

Hannah Blunt (Loveland, Colo.) finished the match with three blocks while Kalme Moncavo (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) had two.

Veenstra and McInerney were both named to the Region IX All-Tournament Team.
