Laramie County Community College volleyball continued its postseason push with a dominant performance, sweeping Trinidad State College in straight sets (25-14, 25-15, 25-19) on Wednesday afternoon in their second match of the Region IX Tournament.
The Golden Eagles controlled the tempo from the first serve, using aggressive net play and consistent serving to keep the Trojans off balance. LCCC's offense was led by a balanced attack, while the defense held strong to limit Trinidad's scoring opportunities.
With the win, LCCC advances in the Region IX Tournament and will play again tomorrow at 12 PM against the loser of tonight's matchup between Northeastern Junior College and North Platte Community College.
Trinidad State's season comes to a close with the loss, while the Golden Eagles continue their push toward a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament. A win tomorrow would extend LCCC's season into Saturday and bring them one step closer to a their goal of qualifing for the national tournament.
