Laramie County Community College (LCCC) showed grit and determination in front of their home crowd on Saturday, but ultimately came up short against a strong College of Southern Idaho squad, 79–63.
The Golden Eagles kept the game close in the first half, trailing by just five points at the break (38–33). Despite a late surge from CSI, LCCC continued to fight until the final buzzer.
Karim Elgizawy led the way with 19 points, hitting five three-pointers and providing a spark on offense. Isaac Fiagbe added 13 points and 6 rebounds, showing versatility in the paint and on the perimeter. Brevin Phillips contributed 11 points and 4 assists, helping facilitate the offense. TJ Coulter chipped in 10 points and 4 assists, while Anthony Nettles provided energy off the bench with 5 points.
LCCC knocked down 10 three-pointers and shared the ball well, recording 15 assists on the night. Defensively, the Golden Eagles forced 9 steals, demonstrating hustle and intensity throughout the contest. Although LCCC shot 33.9% from the field, their resilience and ability to compete against one of the region's top programs was evident. The team will look to build on this performance as they prepare for their next matchup.
