Golden Eagles Soar Past Trinidad State in 93–87 Shootout

Laramie County Community College (LCCC) secured a hard-fought 93–87 victory over Trinidad State College in a fast-paced matchup that showcased offensive firepower from both sides.

The Golden Eagles edged ahead early, taking a 50–48 lead into halftime before holding off a late surge from the Trojans. LCCC shot an impressive 47.7% from the field, including 42.9% from beyond the arc, and converted 73.3% of their free throws to seal the win.

TJ Coulter was the star of the night for LCCC, pouring in 36 points on 12-of-21 shooting, including three triples and nine free throws. Coulter also added four rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes of action. Supporting him were Isaac Fiagbe, who contributed 17 points and six boards, and Karim Elgizawy, who chipped in 14 points and five assists.

Trinidad State kept the contest close behind a stellar performance from Demorae Pritchett, who led all Trojan scorers with 24 points, hitting 7-of-13 from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 from deep. Maurice Thomas added 14 points, while Naz Reaves scored 11.

Both teams showcased offensive efficiency, with Trinidad shooting 48.5% overall and a sharp 47.1% from three-point range. However, missed opportunities at the free-throw line (56.5%) proved costly for the visitors.
