The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles put on a commanding performance Saturday night, defeating Otero College 112-74 at home. From the opening tip, LCCC showcased its offensive depth and efficiency, outscoring the Rattlers 51-34 in the first half and never looking back.
LCCC shot an impressive 58.1% from the field and a scorching 50% from beyond the arc, knocking down 16 three-pointers. Leading the charge was TJ Coulter, who delivered a game-high 32 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including nine triples. Coulter's hot hand set the tone early and kept Otero on its heels throughout the contest.
Supporting Coulter was Karim Elgizawy, who added 17 points and 5 assists, while Anthony Nettles chipped in 14 points and 3 steals. Inside, Jephte Tambala provided a strong presence with 13 points and 6 rebounds, helping LCCC dominate the glass with a 47-28 rebounding advantage.
The Golden Eagles displayed excellent ball movement, recording 27 assists on 43 made field goals. Guard play was sharp, with Damarius Roberts contributing 6 assists, and the team collectively limiting turnovers to just 15.
