MCCOOK, NE - The Golden Eagles (6-2) won their third consecutive game, beating Otero (2-9) 3-1 on Saturday morning.

The Golden Eagles took the first two sets, winning the first eight sets played in the McCook Invitational. LCCC took the first set 25-19 before fighting off the Rattlers to take the second set 25-23.

Shelby Veenstra (Twin Falls, Idaho) finished the match with 44 assists, 10 digs, and recorded five aces.

Otero handed the Golden Eagles their first set loss of the invitational, taking the third set 25-22.

Rigan McInerney (Gillette, Wyo.) tallied 12 kills and 16 digs in a double-double while Michela De Stefano (Rome, Italy) ended the match with 11 kills and 10 digs.

The Golden Eagles were able to finish off the Rattlers in the fourth set, beating Otero 25-14 to win the match 3-1. 

Shae Halls (Carpenter, Wyo.) finished the match with 20 digs.
