Golden Eagles Finish Region IX Challenge 3-1, Now 8-4 on the Season

The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles wrapped up a competitive weekend at the Region IX Challenge with a 3-1 record, bringing their overall season tally to 8 wins and 4 losses.

The tournament began Thursday with a hard-fought five-set battle against Trinidad State College. Despite a strong effort, the Golden Eagles came up just short, dropping the match in a tight finish.

Undeterred, LCCC bounced back on Friday with a decisive win over Southeast Community College, setting the tone for a dominant Saturday. The Golden Eagles secured two more victories on the final day of the tournament, defeating North Platte Community College and Western Nebraska Community College in back-to-back matches.

The team showed resilience and growth throughout the weekend, finishing the Region IX Challenge with a 3-1 record at the RAC and building momentum heading into their next road trip.

Up next, the Golden Eagles travel to Sterling, Colorado, for another four-match slate on Friday and Saturday. With confidence high and an 8-4 record, LCCC looks to keep the winning streak alive.
